Flew into San Juan airport – small but functional. Nothing exciting on the journey, with the small exception of both being upgraded to first class on the leg from Atlanta, although Darcy had to “talk her way” into first class.
We stayed at the Marriott Renaissance La Concha resort for the first three nights. Nice hotel, but very practiced at separating you from your money! There is a 24-hour casino in the hotel, and everything is quite expensive. First night we were there we had a couple of drinks each (2 beers, 2 glasses of wine), and the bill was $40! Ouch…
Great pool areas – 1 at the rear of the resort, and a smaller one overlooking the beach. Our room looks out over the sea, and is nice and spacious.
A good start to our vacation!
Some things we can do in PR

We had a fantastic 10th anniversary bonfire night party at our house on Friday! Weather was beautiful, only getting down to about 40 degrees, and we estimate there were between 175 and 200 guests.
